[sdiy] synth stuff with TI MSP430 ??

I remembered the other day that I had a Launchpad MSP430 sitting in a box from last year.
I see that lots of people MENTION these but no one ever seems to say if they can work for audio stuff or not.

If i remember correctly they DO have an Analog To Digital Converter.
I guess I was wondering if they could be put to use for simple CV or audio Tasks.
