Let me share with you a little story about Analog Devices & UPS carrier..
Last month I asked for 2 samples
of MAT12AHZ from Analog Devices web site..
When I received the parcel it came from....UPS... the shipper
AND broker..
The two MAT12 small samples came packaged in...
a BIG 10" X 9" X 11" cardboard box full of paper stuffings
and a small box at the bottom containing the 2 IC's !!!!!!
and... surprise.. a nice $19.00 to pay COD for UPS brokers !!!
So finally, not quite free samples after all...
Analog Devices said it was because they use UPS
for international shippings (Canada in my case).
I always hated UPS for there
'I won't tell you my broker price you're gonna pay until I'm at your door'
Another story ? ?
Fine.
Some months ago I ordered 10 x LS3954 matched fets
from www.trendsetter.com for my projects
so they took my order but they had to check
for the cheapest shipping to Canada.
So they called me back home later while I wasn't reachable
by phone. They had 2 shipping choices to Canada:
USPS at around $15.00
AND
UPS at around $12.50
so they chose to go with UPS. Fine.
but again... surprise !!!
When the UPS parcel came at my door
there was a broker fee of $28.00 to pay !!!!!
I then called trendsetter about UPS but
they refused to do anything about the overpayment I did
and said they would still use UPS as an international shipper.
Thank you www.trendsetter.com
So BEWARE DIY users !!
UPS are thieves... real thieves.
Now I feel a bit better..
My 2 cents ..
