[sdiy] DX7 hacking?

The yamaha dx200 takes the dx7 concept to a new level, but the implementation leaves a lot to be desired, I would love to see more gear that takes real time control of fm synthesis in the same direction but gives more simultaneous control and parameter automation recording in a live setting.
