That's also on my to-do list.

A related project would be to make something that emulates the plug-in ROM cartridges, and a patch editor that talks to that, over USB, or that takes SD cards or whatever. That would being all the "Synergy Is", i.e. the Synergies without the RS232 boards, into the realm of being programmable.
