I think it's a problem in the trigger circuitry. I've been trying to
rule out the various switches involved by spraying Deoxid in them, but
it's probably an actual circuit problem. Without a schematic, I'll have
to trace the wires from the switches to the circuit location. I hope
it's just a bad electrolytic cap. that's easy to get to & replace. Or
maybe a place that just needs the solder reflowed. I've fixed things
that way before.
I do have a Service Manual for a Beckman Industrial 9020, but it's
obvious from the schematics that the circuits are not similar at all. A
cursory glance shows no 733's for input amps (which makes sense since
mine's a 60 MHz 'scope and I assume the 9020 is a 20 MHz 'scope...).
I wish I could remember the actual manufacturer of this 'scope.
Something like Taeco - some Japanese or Korean or Chinese company...
