I store my resistors in something similar to the CD234 shown on
Jean-Pierre's link.  

I use a total of 9 drawers for resistor values beginning with 1 through 9 

Each value of resistor is in a 2" x 4" plastic zip-lock bag.  I write the
value on each bag with a felt pen.

The "ones" drawer would be organized with bags in this order:

1, 10, 12, 15, 18, 100, 120, 150, 180, 1K, 1K5, etc... through 1M, 1M5...

I can find any resistor value in about 10 seconds.
