Yeah, this circuit is from the mid-eighties and it was sold as a kit so
corners were cut. I've heard that those low power TO-92 regulators weren't
the most reliable, either. I seem to recall blowing a couple.

I just pulled it out to look but the AC supply board isn't there. I'm not
sure what happened to it. It did work at the time.
