[sdiy] Opinion poll - Through Hole ~vs~ SMT

It seems that everyone is against SMT until they try SMT, then the arguments
cease.

Personally, I'd say 0805 is big enough to do by eye, 0603 is pushing it with
wire type solder. I much prefer SMT parts, faster, cleaner, less work.

Thru-hole. Three reasons: comfort/form-factor, no addl tools needed, and I
have a boat load of thru-hole parts. But for digital/uP work, SMT is a
necessity. And I prefer to stuff my own boards. You planning something??
