[sdiy] Opinion poll - Through Hole ~vs~ SMT

Your talking to someone who built a 32K memory computer with a 1802 uP, 16
memory chips and TTL logic using point to point wiring with maybe 20 (22? -
whaterver Radio Shack had for hook up wire.) gauge wires on several 6 x 6
inch proto boards. Nothing scares me!
Any one know where to get 44 pin edge connedctors (.126 inch?) for less
than a small fortune.
