Yes as you mention there are often "dedicated" support components available but
some time one can find substitutes cheaper, whatever, that works
equally well for
the intended purpose.
It's like: will i buy a hamburger at Mc Donald's or make one myself at home?
A thought choice for some perhaps...dunno....
