[sdiy] Kobol Schematics?

Thanks!  I hadn't intended to open a can of worms with what seemed like a
fairly harmless request.  Basically, I've always wanted a Kobol Expander I
but being in the US, I've never even seem one available for purchase at any
price.  Listening to the demos of the MOS-Labs new Kobol VCO they are
releasing got me drooling again.  It sounds like it will be some time before
they do another run so I thought maybe I would just make a couple of my own.
I was also considering making a 2040 multimode implementation to go with it.
Unless I am missing something in the architecture of the Kobol, that seems
like it would give me a pretty solid core.  Is there anything magic about
the other modules I should consider?  I thought it would be nice to have a
Kobol "voice" in my system.  I actually have a couple SSM2040 in my parts
drawer but I need them for synths I currently have but I might still dip
into them.  So, a follow up question would be, how close to the original are
some of the more recent interpretations of the 2040 filter? Marc Bareille's
add on card for the MOTM 2040 filter looks like a potentially good option.

Off topic addition, I'm a fan of the French.  All Americans should know the
