Hi,
if I had spent a long time reverse engineering a synth schematic then I 
agree that I probably would not want to share the schematic.
But I probably wouldn't mention that I had the schematic, to avoid 
arguments.
the offer of help with repairing a rare synth is however a nice offer.

I think that nowadays it is too easy to take for granted that service 
info will be available for free.
I used to work for one of the Music shops in Catford, South London back 
in the early 1980's and a lot of the manufacturers would only release 
schematics and service info to their agents.
