[sdiy] Tip for ordering from CPC

Hi all,

For UKers only....

I'm finding CPC is consistently cheaper than Farnell on items that CPC
stock. Typically 20% cheaper. Not bad in itself.

CPC also do monthly sales leaflets, offering further discounts on
their normal prices. Also good.

Now here's the fun part. CPC mark their on-offer items with a 2-digit
code appended to the order code. The code varies with each offer
period. For example,

400ml IPA spray: SA01884 £2.64
special offer : SA0188406 £2.47

Saving a further 6%.

Oh and these special offer codes do NOT turn up in their search tool,
you need to know what they are :)

If you don't have the offer brochure then for a few seconds more
manually entering part codes in the search box you can find them out
yourself -- just add the offer code on the end. I start at "01" and
go up from there. For the spray above, "02" also works ("06" is the
offer code in the latest brochure).

Note that offer prices generally don't have bulk pricing, so only
really suitable if you're buying in one-off or small quantities.

Cheers,
Neil
