[sdiy] Pseudo-historic design question

  I worked for British Telecom in the 70's and even in those days  
telephone exchanges were mostly powered by relays and the a few valves  
(tubes)  in test equipment and for AC9 signaling equipment. It was  
incredible what relays could be used for. So I would suggest a relay  
based sequencer with valves or tubes providing the sweet distortion  
for the audio.
