Have you made this upgrade available to others? This sounds like a very
advantageous mod. Mine is a JP8A 14-bit late model.

Which reminds me of a useful tip that kills two birds with one stone...
A lot of old synths use NMOS EPROMs.
These can take a supply current over 0.1A when active.
There were four NMOS EPROMs in my Jupiter 8, which I replaced (with a bit of
harmless address decoding alteration) with a single CMOS 27C256
The temperature drop on the heatsink was obvious.
The PSU is likely to last longer, as well as the EPROM data.
