[sdiy] Switched-mode power supply module in synths... good or bad?

For those SDIYers in Australia (not sure if they ship OS) this company  
has Skynet SMPSs cheap..

I bought a couple to repair an EMU Ultraproteus and a Korg M1R, not  
for any critical analogue purposes.
