[sdiy] Switched-mode power supply module in synths... good or bad?

I've used "Mean Well" brand a few times for mic preamps (GS25A series, and also a larger one, I forget the model).
Used a basic 10R and cap filter on the power entry to each preamp. Couldn't detect any HF noise, hash or anything... The preamps have a lot of gain, so I would expect any noise problems to be apparent if they existed, but everything seemed very clean.
They seem to be available from Mouser and quite a few other sources... I got mine in Australia.
