[sdiy] Switched-mode power supply module in synths... good or bad?

 They've been successfully used in audio gear plenty of times before. But sometimes additional steps have to be taken to suppress RF noise. I'd prefer to avoid them more because they sometimes fail in nasty ways. And I don't think most synths (being fairly bulky and expensive already, but without high power consumption) really benefit from the advantages of switching PSUs.
