[sdiy] cleaning squishy rubber buttons

Hi,
I'm calling them squishy button because I can't remember the name for 
them. I have a Yamaha SU10 sampler that won't go into Utility Mode. I've 
googled trying to see if this is a common problem, but no luck. I was 
wondering if it is bad to clean those rubber buttons and the black 
contact patches on the PC board. I suppose this unit may have just been 
used too much. It doesn't look all that worn out. These Yamaha units are 
a bitch to troubleshoot while disassembled, what with all that copper 
sheeting around it. If anybody has any ideas, I'd appreciate it. I know 
this isn't exactly synth DIY, but I'm fixing it myself and I may end up 
having to jerry-rig something to make it work, eh?
