Yup the leak could only be detected using diode checker between the 
battery plus and pin 12.  It was a conductive bridge near the 270pf hp 
filter cap for the interrupt line.  Wow what a bizarre phenomena.  So it 
would tell it to re-read when some transition state was in play probably 
and the transition states would heavily favor certain codes being 
interpreted.
