Can you clip the leads and remove the switch body? If the switch is
bad anyway, I would just clip the leads, remove the switch body, and
then carefully desolder and remove the remaining bits of pin lead one
at a time (much easier). Would still take Paul's advice on a good
desoldering tool. That's going to be useful in a lot of situations.
