I have an important board that I need to fix which has a 8 way rotary switch which is bad.
so that is 10 pins total to desolder.
every time I have tried to desolder one before I end up damaging the board trying to rip the switch out.
and advice on this?
should i first try to break the switch?
should i crank the temp on my soldering iron when desoldering?
should I use wick? etc
thanks for any help
