Actually I googled it and there's a lot supporting the statement or at least repeating the suggestion:
http://www.google.com/#hl=en&gs_nf=1&cp=52&gs_id=3&xhr=t&q=Ancient+Roman+physicians+(Galen)+placed+torpedo+fish&pf=p&output=search&sclient=psy-ab&rlz=1W1ADSA_enUS468&pbx=1&oq=Ancient+Roman+physicians+(Galen)+placed+torpedo+fish&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_sm=&gs_upl=&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=1aef0db0b8ed3188&biw=1280&bih=845

Maybe we should sell Torpedo fish? Or sell aquariums with 6 quadrant voltage sensors connected to a modular synth with Torpedo fish, for $15K or so?

I love statements like this:
"In fact, Ancient Roman physicians (Galen) placed torpedo fish, known for their electric charges, to the foreheads of sufferers of migraine headaches and depression."

because there is soooo much opportunity for deception.
e.g.

How many physicians did this? 1 (Galen)? Or many? Or all?

How often did they do it!!!? Once? everyday? numerous times? a few times?
we don't even know! The grammar just obliterates all possibility of comprehension.

How many fish? 1? Millions?
How many sufferers? 1? Thousands? GAH!

hahahaha also the bit about 333Hz is hilarious. hoo boy...
