[sdiy] JH Triple Chorus build question

Hi Jim,

also for my ears Jürgen's part sounds a bit more fat, but just a little bit.
and *both* sound slightly less wet than my original Solina. On the other
hand one can hear the modulation oscillator in my Solina, what is not so
nice and what I've not heard in your example.

So your chorus sounds absolutely fine for me.

Cheers

Carsten

Subject: [sdiy] JH Triple Chorus build question

Hi SDIY folks,

I've posted about this issue to both electro-music and muffwiggler forums,
and I'm not getting any replies. I'm sorry for cross-posting, but I'm just
looking for any ideas. So far I haven't even been able to get someone to
tell me they think I'm imagining things.

In a nutshell, I have a JH Solina / Triple Chorus that I've long considered
working. Here's the thing: it makes chorus and it sounds nice enough. So
what's the problem? Well, I have little experience with the Solina but based
on JH's samples I think my chorus stops short of the saturated, gooey sound
Jürgen achieved. It *seems* like my modulation is less extreme than his,
and it also *seems* that I'm lacking in what he describes as
"soft-clipping."

In my posting, there's an audio file in which I go so far as to process dry
sounds from Jürgen's own samples and compare it to his chorused results.
Anyone able to help can decide for yourself whether my results are
different. Or perhaps whether my results sound different than your own
builds.

Thanks in advance,
Jim
