Just a heads up - I got a notice from MCHP that the dsPIC30F6010-6014
parts are end-of-life. These are pretty old parts (been around since '05
or so) and are being superseded by the 'A' versions, so there are
pin-compatible replacements.
These were used in a number of older synth applications - I think Seb
Francis used the '6014A parts in his 4xD delay project and I may have
one or two floating around from the early days of prototyping some
oscillators. Lately most dsPIC synth projects are based on the
dsPIC33FJxxGP802 or '804 which have built-in audio DACs, faster clocks
and much lower power consumption.
