Hi All,
What're your favourite caps for audio decoupling applications?
I've got some very convenient and small (5mm/0.2") 1uF ceramics that I use often when prototyping stuff. A lot of people hate ceramic in the audio path, but to be honest, I can't hear any difference and suspect they're just having an audiophile moment. However, I do like to use good quality film caps for filters and such like - I'm a particular fan of the Wima FKP series for this. But the FKP series doesn't go up to the kind of values that I'd need for decoupling (say 470nF up, and 1uF would be nice).
If I was looking for a film replacement for my cheap ceramics, what would you recommend? Will I find something something equally small or will I need more space?
Thanks,
Tom
