Before I start digging around with my meter and scope and nearly
complete lack of knowledge of what I'm doing I thought I'd post this
here in case one of you knows off-hand what might be causing this
strange behaviour.
With my oscillators set at 8' the C key at the marked split point
(third C key from the left of the keyboard) plays a C2 and everything
up from there makes sense and is very much in tune up to C5 on the
right-most key. Playing down from there works properly until I hit
what should be D1, but here it jumps back to D2. The D# key plays a
D#1, but the D key to its left plays a D2. From here the keys continue
to descend logically from the D2 to D#1 again (which at this point
should really be D#0), and again the next D key plays D2. The last two
keys on the left end of the keyboard play C#2 and C2. So, just to be
clear, it goes like this from left to right:
1 - C2
2 - C#2
3 - D2
4 - D#1
5 - E1
6 - F1
7 - F#1
8 - G1
9 - G#1
10 - A1
11 - A#1
12 - B1
13 - C2
14 - C#2
15 - D2
16 - D#1
17 - E1
18 - F1
19 - F#1
20 - G1
21 - G#1
22 - A1
23 - A#1
24 - B1
25 - C2
26 - C#2
27 - D2
28 - D#2
29 - E2
30 - F2
31 - F#2
32 - G2
33 - G#2
34 - A2
35 - A#2
36 - B2
37 - C3
And from here it continues upward as it should.
Thoughts?
Cheers,
James
