That's quite similiar to what I've been using for some time now.
Additionally I have something like this:

Useful for aligning SMD ICs, since your hand won't obscure the tips,
even though the tips can be perpendicular to the chip, e.g. between pins.
Also useful for desoldering pasive 2 pin parts, because you can hold the
part with the bent tips lying flat on the PCB, allowing quick solder
access to both pins. With straight tweezers you have to move the iron
around the tips.
