[sdiy] K2000 floppy drives..

I can't for the life of me find the information I once saw on K2000 
floppy drives.  I've swapped in several here..at first had the cable 
keyed backward and figured that out so the light isn't on all of the 
time... now it starts to format a disk but always says (having tried a 
couple new floppies and a few ones I pulled out of old 
systems..panasonic, teac, samsung and mitsumi) that it can't initialize 
the floppy.  I tried a few floppies that were in good shape.  Wonder if 
anyone else has run into this issue
