Hi René and others,

Thanks, I had a major "duhhh"-feeling upon reading your messages. Looking at the SSM2040 clones was indeed very helpful. 

Although I have to check the scaling of the modified expo convertor, the suggested solution seems to work in Spice world. I think it's time to start building the VCA and VCF based on this idea in the real world.
