Linear Tech LT1175. Comes in several package styles, adjustable. Even 8-pin DIP!

I didn't say they were *CHEAP* (cough).

Hi,

Wondering if people can suggest to me *ANY* sources of low dropout
negative regulators - pref. with specs: adjustable Vout (must do -15V)
and current 500-1500mA (or more even)

I've been finding it really hard to track down something suitable..
Loads of positive LDO regs, but negative ones are really thin on the
ground.

Pretty much the only one I've come across that looks ok is the LT3015 -
but that is currently not stocked by many regular distributors.
The LM2990 looks as thought it may be of use - but I'm distinctly put
off by the description 'Designed for vehicular applications'

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Tom
