Anyway, there are some BBD ICs that have a longer body but still only
8 pins. I guess it's because the longer delay lines actually take up
that size, which is kind of fascinating in itself.
Detailed pictures of the die of various ICs can be quite beautiful,
but I can't remember ever seeing the interior of a BBD chip on the
web. Are there any such pictures? I'd expect them to be potentially
beautiful. :-)
