I honestly don't know what programming tools are available for Mac, but
if I can get an environment running on Linux, I'm sure there'd be
something for OSX.
Not saying I'd use the MSP430 ValueLine for synth purposes, but no
reason it can't be used as an introduction to the whole subject.
