[sdiy] Anyone use an NTE754 single toggle flip-flop?

I got a couple of NTE754 single flip-flops to experiment with the
unobtainable part used to switch the Boss Dimension C - the dreaded
BA634. I've seen clever adaptations using a 4027, but the NTE754 is so
small: it's just a funky little four-pin chip & it'll handle 15V. I
haven't gotten around to trying one yet, but I thought I'd ask if anyone
had used one and also mention that they even exist for those that don't
know. I have no idea what they cross-reference with. I spend a lot of
time just flipping through my NTE and SK (super-deprecated, but
immensely useful!) books. I find all sorts of cool parts - and a lot of
them aren't that expensive. But don't be fooled: a TL081 is not the same
as an LF411. Sadly the NTE42 (2SC1583) and NTE43 (2SA798) are going
going gone... But the NTE996 (CA3080) is back and even more expensive.
Save your money and get two(ish) by buying an NTE870 (LM13600). This
last bit is assuming you need a part right away and are at the mercy of
the local electronics parts store - most of the time.
