And probably about 60%-90% of the components used in electronics are
from China also. I was surprised to learn that another big motivation
for moving electronic manufacturing to China is the cost of shipping. It
saves a lot of money shipping resistors (or pick another part) from the
manufacture in China to the build facility in China vs. sending stuff to
the states (or pick your country). Also helps on cutting down on
inventory since you don't have to deal with shipping delays.
