"On April 28, 2011, Analog Devices discontinued their SSM2164 quad VCA. 
  We are discussing with Analog Devices the possibility of making a 
pin-for-pin replacement, but if we decide to move forward, a replacement 
would not be available until the middle of 2012 or later."
