I don't think anyone here has tried DELIBERATELY..

Filing would be much better.
But I am sure there must be a way to modify the circuit without going to 
this extreme..
It would be like setting fire to a piece of wood, and hoping it would be 
right for the table leg you needed. But not so precise..
