This may not be a good solution for everybody, but I take apart a LOT
of old electronics. Eventually, you find some CT-pots. I have a whole
slew of them. I even have a quad-ganged 50kOhm pot and they're all
center-tapped. (It was from a quad receiver that didn't work...). I also
have a CT dual-ganged 50kOhm pot that I plan to use in that cool-looking
Japaenese "Multiflanger" project... Anyway, getting parts from unused &
broken electronics is a great way to fill your parts bin - even with
esoteric parts.
Another thought: I wonder if you could use one of those IC
potentiometers?
