The implication being OnChip has the base array IP that was used
to build the CEM devices, and still has the process running to build them.
The only thing standing in the way of rebuilding new CEM devices is
a business case. I doubt OnChip would turn down a viable business
proposition. Making a few chips for some sdiyers probably doesn't
fall in that category. :-p
Note Dave Smith is buying at least two different parts from OnChip,
the PA397, and a dual VCA chip. It'll be interesting to look inside
some recent designs (Tempest?) and see if there's anything new.
