When I need to find a substitute transistor, first thing I do is get my TITS
out...

Nothing listed for 2SD1293m though.
Which would lead to google for a datasheet, identify the basic type, then
look for something in the same case style and pin orientation with similar
or better Hfe, max Vbe, Ic, etc.
