Hey Ian,
I agree with Harry - you must really like this friend. Even with the
factory supplied PCB, there is a ton of point to point wiring on the
Gnome. Before you start in, I might recommend something like the Ray
Wilson WSG (Wacky Sound Generator). It's a simpler project, Ray sells
PCBs on his Music From Outer Space site, and there are all sorts of
interesting mods and add-ons created by users. I do have a soft spot
for the Gnome (first synth I ever built) and I even still have mine.
Let us know how it turns out if you do go ahead with a Gnome Clone.
