They are like the CA3140, but have a CMOS output. These were the great grandfathers
of what are now called 'rail to rail output'. They can still be used, but there are
more modern altenatives.
These are still in production, but not in the metal case imho.
iirc, they may have been used in some function generator designs of the early 80's.
I don't know a direct synth use, but they ~could~ have been used...

I found a big quantity (more than 100) of NOS CA3130S BiMOS opamps (metal case)
in there original RCA box like this one:

Do they have any value or possible use in DIY synth circuits ?
