Yes, I use a similar Wavetech function generator all the time, both  
live and in the studio. It is hooked up to my modulars, and it is  
extremely nice (both visually and soundvise) to put the Wavetech  
through one input of a ring modulator and turn the big frequency knob  
manually, while the other input is coming from the sum of the  
sequenced VCOs. I can to a total manual ring-mod sweep of the  
sequencer going on, and mix it with the original VCO sound to suit my  
needs.
