[sdiy] 3.5 mm stereo sockets ?

Hi,
I just wondered if anyone had experience of using either of the 
following stereo jack sockets ?
I know that some 3.5 mm jack connectors may not be reliable.

rapid electronics    20-1082    Neutrik           £ 0-54 each
                      20-1662    switchcraft       £ 2-37 each

I find I need to make up an Audio interface box with a 3.5 mm output.
the switchcraft is presently out of stock unfortunately.
one other option is to use a different connector, but this would make 
things not as straightforward.
