Send it to me in Japanese and I shall translate if you wish ..
I have no prob with the tenori-on. apart from the price and it is a bit
under specced .... I just can't afford the 900 GBP to crack the case and
take it apart .. the plastic orange version is a no-no...cheap and plastic
...

I had a problem with that too. I read it again and again. I concluded that
the term "switch" was used loosely to mean an input control and not
necessarily a make/break circuit. The author is Japanese and I find that
culture plays a big part in vocabulary when English and Japanese language
meet.
I have no first-hand knowledge of how the Tenori-on truly operates. I just
connected the dots.
