[sdiy] Anyone here build an Oakley tb-3031 - sub osc issue

I've been going through my stuff lately on a Spring cleaning / fix it spree and 
I noticed that while I get tons of use out of my TB3031, the sub osc doesn't 
really seem to do anything.  If i have it switched to a different wav of the 
main osc, and turn up the volume, the overall volume drops a bit and almost 
sounds like there's some wav cancellation going on. If they are the same wave 
form, the sound does seem to thicken up ever so slightly, but not really in a 
sub tone kind of way. Not sure if this is just how this synth works, or perhaps 
there's something I should be checking.
