I have a Weller WES51D, which has been great; I don't even want to think about how many thousand joints it's soldered. 

That said, several people I know swear by Hakko stuff. I will say that the Hakko solder holder kicks butt over the Weller solder holder, and the Hakko wire sponge is a must-have.
