PLUS, some of them, like the motorola (now freescale) 56000 series
have the ability to do parallel moves
so you can do a multiply and copy two sections of memory to two other
sections in the same instruction.... this makes for VERY fast code.
The new 56K chips have filters included in them IIRC.
