Try the code archive at http://musicdsp.org/. And BTW, what you're 
talking about is called time domain in the DSP literature. Depending on 
your math skills, a book or two on DSP might be helpful in order to 
understand the subject matter. But that also depends on what you want to 
achieve in the end and how general you actually want the treatment to be.
