a 15V and -5V supply would be beyond the safe limits for this chip... they are usually spec'd at 18V max...\
Maybe using one manufacturer's chip was because through testing they found that one was a little better in that
regard. I think the ABSOLUTE max is 20V, but I'd never want to go there...
